Julie Ortega, M.A., PL-SLP, CF-SLP
Julie is from Minden, Louisiana. She is a Speech-Language Pathologist currently completing her Clinical Fellowship year. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in 2024 and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in May 2026. She enjoys working with the pediatric population, where she can build meaningful relationships with children and their families while helping them develop the communication skills they need to grow and thrive. Julie is passionate about serving children from all cultural backgrounds, with a special interest in providing Spanish/bilingual speech-language services to Spanish-speaking families. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, shopping, and spending time with my family and friends. Julie looks forward to making a positive impact in the lives of the children and families she serves!
Mandy F. Babe, CCC-SLP
Mandy has been with us since we opened in October 2024. Originally from Bastrop, LA, she received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Upon graduating, she moved to Shreveport to work with adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has worked in pediatrics since September 2022 and has received additional training in pediatric feeding and swallowing through Feed the Peds. She is a military wife and enjoys spending time with her family, 3 pets, and hiking in national parks.

Mary joined our team in August 2025. She brings a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for helping children develop their language skills. Her dedication has already made a positive impact on both our team and the families we serve!
